Hi, I’m Maddie!

Cubs Hub Co. was inspired by becoming a mum and by my daughter, who reshaped the way I see childhood and learning.

I grew up between the beach and the bush and have always loved being outdoors. Gardening, bushwalking and nature-based play are central to my life, and I’m passionate about offering children the same rich experiences that shaped my own childhood.

As a teacher, I felt many programs overlooked the power of play. Cubs Hub Co. brings together my teaching experience, research and values to create a space where children can grow confident, curious and connected learners.

My vision is to create meaningful childhood experiences that support the whole child. I want children to feel safe to explore, take risks, build confidence and develop a genuine love of learning. Through play, connection and nature-based experiences, Cubs Hub Co. aims to equip children with the curiosity, resilience and skills they need to navigate the world with confidence, now and as they grow.

  • Janina

    Janina is a mum of two. She holds a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and is currently studying her Diploma of Early Childhood Education. With a love for dance, she spent many years teaching acro before transitioning to early childhood education. Janina is enthusiastic about researching innovative ways to enrich educational experiences for children and is dedicated to fostering playful, engaging learning environments. She is also passionate about low-tox living, ensuring her home and the environments she creates for children are as natural and wholesome as possible. Janina takes great joy in cooking nourishing meals for her family, reflecting her commitment to providing a healthy, balanced lifestyle.

    Bec holds a Bachelor of Secondary Teaching/Arts, a Graduate Certificate in Gifted Education, and is currently studying her Certificate III in Early Childhood Education. As a devoted mother and experienced educator, she discovered the beautiful nature of learning as connections to the whole, rather than in separate boxes.

    She believes learning is about finding out how things in our world are interconnected, and how the past, present, and future are intertwined. Our children are complex little beings who should not be placed in boxes, but rather allowed to explore all facets of themselves, their passions, interests, and challenges, along with those "crunchy eyebrow moments" of discovery. Through holistic education, our children should explore who they are and who they want to be, with freedom.
