Hi, I’m Maddie!

The idea for Cubs Hub came from one of the biggest inspirations in my life—my daughter. Becoming a mother shifted my perspective in so many ways, and it deepened my commitment to education that truly matters—one that sparks creativity, connection, imagination, and wellbeing.

As a teacher, I often felt something was missing in the programs available. Too many overlooked the incredible impact of play on a child's development, even though the research supporting it is undeniable. I was inspired by the innovative approaches I saw overseas and wanted to bring those evidence-based methods into a space that reflected my values, both as a mother and an educator.

Cubs Hub is a culmination of everything I’m passionate about. It brings together the best of what I’ve learned through my studies, teaching experience, and ongoing research to create a space where children can grow and thrive as whole individuals.

My vision is to help children develop a deep love of learning that lasts a lifetime—equipping them with the skills, curiosity, and confidence they need to take on life’s challenges with resilience and determination.

  • Janina

    Janina is our beautiful Garden Play Facilitator. She is a mother of 2, with a certificate in early childhood education. She discovered her passion for working with young children early in life and has been working in the industry for 6 years.

    With Janina’s vast knowledge and experience gained in the profession, as well as witnessing firsthand the many benefits her children have attained by learning through play, she found a passion for sensory and messy play.

    Janina believes that setting a positive, inclusive, and nurturing environment for children to thrive is crucial for their growth and development.

    When not working as an educator, Janina enjoys spending time with her family, especially at the beach, where they can relax and reset. Most of her free days are spent either taking her kids to the park or cooking at home, as her kids love to eat!
